About Diane Johnston, PHMNP

Diane Johnston has been in private practice for 18 years, specializing in the field of Behavioral and Integrative Medicine. She is a trained EMDR therapist, specializing in working with adolescents and adults.

Ms. Johnston provides assessments and evaluations for individuals referred by other professionals or who self-refer for possible medication management. In her psychotherapy practice she combines EMDR, mindfulness, meditation and talk therapy.

Ms. Johnston received a Masters of Science degree from Columbia University. She trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the Harvard Department of Behavioral Medicine, and the Institute for the Study of Health and Illness.

She has studied Mindfulness techniques with Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, and has trained in a variety of methods of marriage and family psychotherapy at the Family Institute of Westchester. She is professionally trained in EMDR therapy. Ms Johnston was Medical Director at Insight Counseling in Ridgefield, CT. A passionate pianist, she holds a Masters Degree in music from Manhattan School of Music.
